Orykta™ DOES NOT harm the environment. In fact, it helps it. Orykta™ is arguably the most effective environmentally friendly agricultural product available today. PMMR's goal is to provide a product that maximizes your profit without increasing your costs - and to do this in an environmentally friendly way. |
It would be easy for us to state simply that Orykta™ is a natural, non-hazardous, non-toxic product used effectively in agriculture, while NOT providing appreciable amounts of nitrogen, phosphate and potassium. Orykta™, therefore, is benign to the environment. |
But to leave it at that does not do justice to a serious question, nor to our product. There are many credible health and environmental concerns associated with agricultural products and practices. We recognize that informing you honestly about how Orykta™ can alleviate these concerns is important. |

Consider The Effects of Strenuous Agricultural Production… |
It is well known that chemical/nutrient fertilizer runoff pollutes groundwater and reservoirs, leading to contamination of drinking water. According to Charles Fox, the assistant administrator for water at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): "Nutrient pollution is one of the most pervasive water-quality problems facing this nation". Chemical runoff is also blamed for contaminating rivers and estuaries and for promoting hypoxia, algae blooms and harmful bacterial growth. |
In addition to runoff problems, overuse of fertilizers can negatively impact production capabilities as well as the environment by depleting arable lands. According to the Potash and Phosphate Institute: |
"Nutrient use efficiency (NUE) can be misrepresented when it is not treated as a part of the total crop production system. It must be remembered that inputs such as nutrients and resources such as land do not function independently in biological systems." |
Land use efficiency can not be improved unless a balance of nutrients is achieved. Since the bulk of all fertilizers consumed worldwide are in the form of nitrogen (N), phosphate (P2O5) and potash (K2O), strenuous use of these fertilizers - practically the only nutrient supplements applied in agriculture worldwide - has resulted in an imbalance of soil nutrition the world over. Reduced land use efficiency results in products (crops and animals) with lower nutritional value. |
These problems persist worldwide and continue to multiply. Over the past thirty years, worldwide annual consumption of fertilizers has soared from less than 70 million metric tons to over 138 million metric tons. The International Fertilizer Association estimates that worldwide annual consumption of fertilizers will increase to 179 million metric tons by the year 2030. And despite the substantial increase in fertilizer consumption, much of the world's population continues to be underfed and malnourished. The ratio of population growth to fertilizer consumption is estimated to increase from approximately 1:2.5 today to a ratio of 1:3 to 1:4 over the next 30 years. |

We believe, when it comes to health and environmental issues, the best test for a how product compares is how well it addresses five main concerns. These are the concerns…: |
Now, let's examine Orykta™… |
How else can Orykta™ help the environment? |
Orykta™ is, first and foremost, a product that reduces farmers' costs while increasing yields. One way it does that is by promoting nutritional balance in soils. In that way it can be used as a reclaiming agent for depleted soils and for making non-arable lands more arable. It also promotes efficient assimilation of nutrients - meaning less overall supplementation is required. It makes good business sense, therefore, for a farmer to use Orykta™ to reduce his costs. And because Orykta™ does reduce the need for nutrient supplementation, a grower will naturally use less quantities of potentially toxic fertilizers. To that end, use of harmful chemical fertilizers can be reduced substantially. |
In summary, Orykta™ is arguably the most effective agricultural product available that is friendly to environmental health. |
